Short answer: Look at any lava shoreline: Sally Lightfoot crabs crowd the rocks at almost every landing on every island, all year. You do not need a special tour. The harbour rocks in town, a snorkel day trip or a walk to the beach will all do.

Sally Lightfoot crabs are not unique to the Galápagos: they live along the Pacific coast from Mexico to northern Peru and on the Atlantic coast of South America. Young crabs are dark, adults red-brown.
